Waiting for paper and phone calls.

Monday:
AJ called us together for the morning meeting and said he'd decided over the weekend to implement a "Phone plan" policy. He wants us all to only take calls we've already planned into our day, and to let anybody else who calls arrange a time with us to deal with their call. He couldn't really explain just what he meant us to do, so we'll all just carry on and get our jobs done and leave hin to catch up with us all.
We don't really care what he says at the moment - he's on vacation soon so we'll all just wait him out.

Andy's out on vacation too this week - LeeAnn went in to his office this morning to find him about something and noticed it on his wall calendar. She came out to check on the main vacation planner sheet on the back of James' door, and he was on vacation this last week as well.
I guess it says a lot about his impact on us all, as nobody even noticed he wasn't around.

Tuesday:
LeeAnn came in 7 minutes late - she said the bus was full of kids going back to school and she couldn't get past them to get off at her usual stop.
She told us all afterwards she'd slept in after being up most of the night working out what to do about her two boyfriends. She's been seeing the two of them at the same time for a good while now, but unfortunately for her it turns out they both have mutual friends and all three of them've been invited to the mutual friends' party for Halloween this year.

She finally worked out she has several options :

^ stop one or the other going to the party
^ not go herself and run the risk of the two of them talking
^ go herself and find some way to keep the two apart
^ finally make up her mind which one she's going to keep on and which one she's going to drop - and then hope the one she drops doesn't make a scene at the party.

Wednesday:
The big printer was working fine after the lunchbreak, but it didn't matter because LeeAnn had worked the production schedule and the picking lists out yesterday (as there was nothing else she could do without any invoices) so she was able to print it all out first thing this morning.
The interesting thing was Mike finally remembered what I'd been telling him for so long now, and plugged in his mobile charger in the other socket instead of the printer socket.
I don't know how he manages to get it right when there's no need to, and I just hope he'll remember next week and use the other socket then too. I'm not holding my breath though - it was most likely a fluke.

Thursday:
Still no headed paper or multi-part invoices or shipping documents, and the plain paper Fiona was allowed to buy in for us all to use has nearly all gone. Head Office Purchasing, who're supposed to be coordinating the print run for all the stuff with the new corporate colors, have sent out another two large boxes of envelopes by courier though, so it's not as though they've forgotten us all.

There's already seven large boxes of envelopes in the filing room downstairs - maybe enough for the next two years or so if we're all careful and don't use more than three envelopes per letter.

Friday:
AJ said at the morning meeting how pleased he was we all weren't wasting our time on unscheduled phone calls, but he had to drop it and run back to his office to pick up a call because it might be someone from Head Office wanting him.
He came around to bug us all again just before he went to the afternoon meeting at Head Office, but most everyone was on the phone.
